The Challenge
Kitsap Women in Business is a growing network dedicated to supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs in the Kitsap area. While the group was blossoming in 2023, it needed consistent marketing, event structure, and outreach to fully realize its potential. The goals were to:
Increase visibility and engagement through structured marketing efforts.
Create and implement an event strategy to boost attendance and showcase women-owned businesses.
Develop tools to connect and highlight members within the community
The Solution
As Marketing & Event Coordinator, I stepped in to bring organization and strategy to Kitsap Women in Business’ marketing and event planning.
Key accomplishments include:
Marketing Management: I developed a consistent social media schedule, growing the group’s following by almost 50% in the first year. I also implemented text, email, and Eventbrite campaigns to improve communication and engagement.
Event Strategy: I created a detailed event marketing strategy that enhanced attendance and ensured every event was well-organized and impactful.
Business Directory Development: I launched the group’s first business directory, featuring over 100 women in business in the Kitsap area, providing a valuable resource for networking and community building.
Girls Night Out 2024: Collaborating with Kirstie Litten of Little Bubble Company, I co-led the planning and execution of the group’s biggest event ever.
This event showcased over 20 women-owned businesses.
Attendance exceeded 150, and the event sold out.
It highlighted the talent and contributions of local women entrepreneurs, strengthening community connections.
